The system uses Categories to keep the type of administration completely separate between COBRA and Direct Bill participants. Correspondence, time frames, type and period of billing are all definable by category. There is no limit to the number of categories that you can define. COBRA, Retiree, Leave, satatical or any other.
The combined version of COBRA EAS and GIBS combines both systems to use one data file. No need to close one application and open another to look up payments or complete other activities. Special category file keeps each type of participant separate.
